Chairman & CEO
Peter leads the Eugene Technology and Eugenus organizations as Chairman and CEO. Eugenus was established after Eugene Technology acquired Aixtron semiconductor division in November, 2017. Peter brings a wealth of experience to Eugenus, with the vision to grow the company from a key semiconductor equipment innovator in Silicon Valley to a global industry leader.
J.W. leads all management and operational aspects of Eugenus, providing vision and leadership to help to grow and develop the company. Prior to his role at Eugenus, he was Executive Vice President at SK Hynix for 27 years, and was responsible for DRAM, NAND process, and NAND development. J.W. received his BS in Metallurgical Engineering from Seoul National University, and obtained his Material Engineering PhD from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
Advisory Board Member
C.S. is the former CEO of Hynix Semiconductor and has held various positions at Hyundai Electronics, including Corporate Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President for Worldwide Semiconductor Marketing and Sales, and President of North American operations. Prior to that, he was CEO of Maxtor Corporation until it was acquired by Seagate Technology, where he served as a Seagate’s board member through 2018. C.S. has also been on a number of corporate and non-profit boards, including Brooks Automation, Computer Sciences Corporation, Enphase Energy, and Silicon Valley Community Foundation. C.S. has a BA from Yonsei University, South Korea; an MBA from the University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois; and PhD in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
Advisory Board Member
Peter is the CEO and co-founder of Eclair Medical Systems and joined Eugenus as an advisory board member in December 2019. A technology executive in Silicon Valley, Peters brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in company building and scaling startups. Peter has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.
Interim Chief Sales & Marketing Officer
Patrick is serving as Interim CSMO and oversees the Commercial & Technical Marketing aspects of Eugenus. Prior to joining Eugenus, he has held various engineering, customer account, and marketing functions at Applied Materials and Lam Research. Patrick currently holds 14 US patents and several pending. He received his BS in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley and MS in Engineering and Engineering Management from Santa Clara University.
Chief Technology Officer
Miguel serves as the company’s CTO. With more than 25 years of experience in design and product development, he is a proven technical leader, with prior management roles at Aixtron, Veeco, and Lam Research. He is author and/or co-author of 17 US patents and several patents pending. He holds an MSE in Engineering and Engineering Management from Santa Clara University, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University.
Chief Administrative Officer
Jason is responsible for the overall administrative operations of the company. He is a veteran industry executive with over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor, LCD, and consumer electronics markets. Prior to joining Eugenus, he was General Manager of Hyundai Information Technologies, USA. Jason has also held leadership roles at several venture capital firms, and other industry positions. He received his BS in Computer Science from Kwang Woon University in Seoul, South Korea.
VP, Systems Engineering
Jeff leads the Systems Engineering, Core Technology, and Program Management Groups for existing and new product development at Eugenus. Over his 23+ year career, he has managed teams to deliver complex semiconductor capital equipment products and solutions in the areas of PVD, Conductor Etch, Dielectric Etch, Track, ALD, and CVD at Applied Materials, Aixtron, and Eugenus. Jeff holds 30 issued US patents and 15 US patents pending. He holds an MSME degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a BSME from Texas A&M University at College Station.
Senior Director, Human Resources
As Head of People and Culture, Sherry directly impacts how Eugenus takes shape, fulfills its vision and lives its values. Partnering with cross-functional leaders, she establishes organizational and people practices and develops solutions to create a workplace environment where employees love their roles and feel challenged. Sherry’s strategic global HR leadership roles span 15 years, both as a consultant and executive leader, working with high tech companies Tibco, Zoran, and others. Her diverse experience includes taking a company from startup to IPO. Sherry has a BA from Washington State University and an MSx from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
